Sick days

We have each had our turn being sick in the past 3 weeks - including all the babies that live in our house. Mallory and Hadley were taking care of the sick babies and decided they each needed their own stuffed animal to make them feel better.

The best way for me to practice using my camera

I am learning how to really use my camera (which means finally taking if off the Auto setting). I am not fast enough yet to really capture the girls when they are moving about - but I seem to do ok in situations like this. :)

My photography teacher told me this was my "best exposure" so far. I personally like it b/c you can see the little bit of drool on her cheek and the faded stamp on her arm.

Happy (belated) Halloween

The girls had a Halloween parade at school in the gym.  They circled around two times...Mallory kept on her serious face the whole time; meanwhile Hadley couldn't stop smiling if she tried! 

Nana came to Austin for the big day.  And she made quite an impression!  The whole 'hood was abuzz with sightings of Scooby Doo.  As the person who stayed home to hand out candy, it was really funny to hear people talking about Scooby as they came to our door. 

The girls had a great time trick or treating and came home only when their buckets were too heavy to carry. 

Pretending to be a big sister

Our friend Juliet brought her little girl, Lucy, over to play. Hadley had the best time "pretending to be her big sister".
